All bookworms pay attention! The lit.COLOGNE comes up

In march Europe's biggest festival for literature takes place in Cologne for the 18th time - the lit.COLOGNE. At over 190 events in 31 different locations literature enthusiasts from many different countries come together to listen to the voices of authors and hosts and get lost in the world of words and books. Many important German and international figures of the industry will be present, as well as actors, politicans, comedians, etc.

Among others Iron-Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickson, former politican of the Green Party Joschka Fischer and famous authors like Sebastian Fitzek and Elke Heidenreich are going to read, dicuss and tell their stories.

As the festival's concept is constantly refinded and improved the event organizors started two interesting pilot projects for 2018. The project "students for students" allowed three schools in Cologne to actively take part in the organisation of the festival and plan and initialize their own three readings.

The "lit.COLOGNE-attendant team" was initiated to help eldery and people with special needs. Trained volunteers accompany culture lovers from bus and train stations to the event and back, to make the journey as accessible as possible and make sure everyone who wants to can participate.

The tickets for the readings and events can be purchased since the 6th of December. Therefore some events are already sold so - be quick and get one of the last coveted tickets.
