Restaurant Brief description
The classic and historic brewery in Duesseldorf's old town.
“Dusellidorp”, the village on the Dusella, was mentioned for the first time around 1159. But the beginning of settlement, especially on Burgplatz, was even earlier: the Hohenstaufens founded a castle here as early as 920. And since they weren't food lovers, the first beer was probably served here around 1,100 (!) years ago. As early as 1536, a new restaurant opened its doors in the then still quite tranquil town of Düsseldorf: “Im Goldenen Ring”. Proven to be where Burgplatz 22 and the newer building from 1704 are today. The latest chapter of the traditional house is a lively mix of old and new: on the one hand, with traditional dishes, a glut of beer and a cozy brewery atmosphere. On the other hand, with new, light cuisine in the newly designed show kitchen and Frankenheim Alt in the beer bar.
