International Museum day 2018 in North Rhine-Westphalia

Art and culture bring people together, form mutual interests and stimulation that go way beyond national borders and eras. Therefore once a year the International museum day takes place since 1978, where museums and cultural institutions all over the world celebrate the exceptionality and scope of art.

This year the museum day is held on or around the 18^th of May and in Germany it already happens on Sunday the 13^th. According to the motto “Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics” numerous institutions around the country are going to open their doors and invite you to participate and enjoy.

Last year more than 4600 museums in Germany were part of the special day and hence there will be something to discover right around your corner!
