The venerable walls of the Haxenhaus in Cologne's Old Town can be traced as far back as 1231, when the inn was known as "Hus am Bootermaate". Then as now, the historical tavern on the beautiful Rhine promenade lures guests from Cologne and all over the world with its distinctive charm. At the Haxenhaus every meal is a celebration! Research on the house's long history constantly turns up new finds that tell of times gone by. These stories are combined with a culinary experience and presented to our guests in the form of a performance, either as an event in its own right or accompanying a special occasion.
